Abd El-Bary Appointed As President of UH Branch at NAC

Global Institution, which houses UK’s University of Hertfordshire (UH) branch at New Administrative Capital (NAC) announced the appointment of Dr. Khaled Abd EL-Bary as UH president.

Dr. El-Bary served as Zagazig University President for four years, during which he established nearly 11 new colleges, in addition to the university hospital development and the establishment of the Zagazig Private University in the 10th of Ramadan city.

He confirmed that UH branch at the NAC grants academic degrees in the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Bachelor of Pharmacy, the Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BFA), the Bachelor of Business Information Technology Management, Bachelor of Computer Science "Artificial Intelligence", Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Bachelor of Mass Communication, and Bachelor of Physical Therapy.

Former President of Zagazig University pointed out that the university applies the same admission rules of the mother English university, adding that starting from the next semester, there will be vacant places available in the faculties of Pharmacy, Business Administration and Mass communication.

It is worth mentioning, the UH is a public university in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (UK).

The university is based largely in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

Its antecedent institution, Hatfield Technical College was founded in 1948 and was identified as one of 25 colleges of technology in the UK in 1959.

It ranks 601–800 among the world universities in Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2019.

It was awarded the Entrepreneurial University of the Year by Times Higher Education in 2010.

In 2011, it was ranked 41st by the Complete University Guide among UK universities.

The establishment of “the Global” Institution in the NAC comes in line with Egypt’s strategic 2030 vision which focuses on enhancing the quality of higher education.

In the same context, the higher education ministry has taken measures, such as issuing a law organizing the establishment of branches for foreign universities in Egypt, to provide higher quality education for Egyptian and foreign students
