AASTMT in "El Alamein" Honors "Thanaweya Amma" Top Students

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime- AASTMT- Transport hosted a ceremony honoring high school top students for the year 2020 in its branch in New Alamein City.

The distinguished guests who attended the event included: Major General Khaled Shoeib, Governor of Matrouh, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister of Education for Teachers Affairs, Dr. Ismail Abd Al-Ghaffar, President of the Academy, Dr. Dina Othman, Deputy Governor of Marsa Matrouh city and Dr. Samir Al-Nili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Matrouh Governorate, along with many Parliament Members, mayors, sheikhs of Matrouh, members of the governorate's board of trustees.

Major Shoeib expressed his happiness and gratitude at honoring high school top"Thanaweya Amma" students, thanking the President of the AASTMT for letting him participate in that outstanding celebration.

Major Shoeib also expressed his gratitude towards the Minister of Education for his efforts in developing the education system and delivering high school exams successfully despite the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as Spreading the e-learning culture.

He also praised "El Alamein" new city saying: "This great Egyptian achievement was achieved thanks to the wise vision of the righteous son of Egypt and the patron of its renaissance, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic."

On the other hand, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Deputy Minister of Education for Teachers Affairs, referred to the effective role played by the Ministry of Education during this "historic" academic year, pointing out that this year was a challenge before the whole world, which required concerted efforts to work on providing precautionary measures to prevent Corona virus.

Dr. Hegazy also expressed his happiness at honoring the top students who proved their scientific excellence in such a challenging year, noting that Egypt is the only country that insisted on holding high school exams in the region.

Meanwhile, President of AASTMT said: “I would like to emphasis on my pride and appreciation at our gathering in the new city of "El Alamein", one of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's accomplishments. This is a city that we must be proud of, and I also thank the organizers for choosing the academy branch in the city of New Alamein to host this ceremony. "

AASTMT president also congratulated all male and female students for their excellence, wishing them continued progress and success and for planning their future thoughtfully in a way that would benefit them, the society and their homeland. He said:" We are expecting more ambitious young people who will contribute effectively to advancing the country's development process."

AASTMT president also praised the students’ dedication and outstanding performance, which culminated in their excellence in their school education journey, pointing out that they represent a source of pride and appreciation.

AASTMT president stressed that education is the basic implant upon which nations are built, pointing out that education at the Academy is based on teaching and learning and motivating students to create and innovate to the highest levels.

At the end of AASTMT ceremony, outstanding top high school students were honored, and shields and souvenirs were exchanged on that occasion.
