CAIRO, Feb. 11 (SEE) - Many Egyptians are familiar with Greece and its culture. However, are Egyptians really familiar with Cyprus and its culture?

In this regard, responsible of the Cypriot partition at the 2019 Cairo International Book Fair Marios Ayub said, "Many people came and asked me where is Cyprus, is it an island in Greece?"

"I clarified that it Cyprus is a country with its own governmental system. Cypriots speak Greek, however, they have their own accent."

This was the first time for Cyprus to participate at the Cairo International Book Fair. Ayub commented in this regard, "We are presenting Cyprus as a whole, and the Greek part separated from the Turkish one."

Cypriot partition was a mini-travel to the island of Cyprus where visitors found books about: history, old wedding dresses and their design, general vision of current Cyprus, traditional dishes, textile, pottery, and Islamic worship places in the Island.

There was a shelf with books about the country's foreign relations with Europe (as a continent), Denmark, Hungary, Poland, and Ireland.

Chinese proverb says, "One picture worth ten thousand words." This for the visitors to get more friendly with the country's culture, there were books that focused on images including natural sceneries and worship places.
