7 Injured in Tyre Blast Southern Lebanon

A blast took place in a real estate in the Lebanese city of Tyre, southern Lebanon, on Monday, injuring seven people.

An explosion was heard near Heram Street in the Tyre city, the National News Agency reported, adding that it was followed by a fire outbreak in one of the buildings and flying of glass into the street.

The Lebanese Civil Defense team rushed immediately to the site and they were able to extinguish the fire and rescue the injured.

Moreover, the security forces began investigating the cause of the blast. Later, the cause of the explosion was revealed as reports indicated that it was due to an electric generator in a doctor’s clinic near the incident’s site.

The doctor and a nurse were among the seven injured people, reports said, pointing out that they suffered minor burns.
