The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that a 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck southern Iran, while the UAE Seismological Center indicated that it was only slightly felt in the country, according to Russia Today.
The European Seismological Center indicated that the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred about 47 kilometers from the city of Bandar Abbas in the southern region of Iran, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The center added that it adjusted the intensity of the earthquake from 6.1 degrees that it initially announced.
Saudi news pages also pointed out that residents of the eastern region of the Kingdom felt a slight earthquake in some cities.
