Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said that the fourth wave of Coronavirus in Egypt started to fade away, media agencies reported on Thursday.

Abdel Ghaffar added that there are several features that prove the beginning of the fourth wave's end.

Regarding the process of giving booster vaccine doses, he highlighted that all people who received the second dose of vaccine six months ago or more will receive a new message of the place and date of the booster shot.

It is worthy to mention that a few hours ago Egypt approved giving booster shots from COVID-19 vaccines for those who were fully vaccinated six months ago.

The decision came during a meeting for the Cabinet and the Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly as the Minister of Higher Education, and the responsible for the Ministry of Health responsibilities reviewed the situation of the pandemic in the state.

In the same context, Health Affairs Presidential Advisor Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din said on Wednesday that Egypt has seen a significant decline in Coronavirus cases and deaths.

In press remarks, he added that the epidemiological situation in Egypt is reassuring, affirming that the country is dealing with this issue professionally.

Moreover, Tag El-Din noted that Egypt managed to provide all types of internationally-approved coronavirus vaccines.
