Tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 1, Saudi Arabia will begin the third phase of Umrah before the coronavirus pandemic is officially over. Umrah, visits and prayers at 100 percent capacity (20,000 Umrah pilgrims per day, 60,000 worshippers/day) of the Two Holy Mosques will be permitted for people, as well as residents within and outside the Kingdom.

Visitors and Umrah pilgrims will enter the Kingdom from the countries approved by the Ministry of Health.

On Sept. 22, King Salman of Saudi Arabia approved the gradual resumption of the Umrah pilgrimage in four phases, according to Argaam, in accordance with the appropriate preventive health procedures.

Under the first phase, as of Oct. 4, at a 30 percent capacity (6,000 pilgrims per day), people and residents within the Kingdom were permitted to conduct Umrah per day in the Grand Mosque.

The second phase began on Oct. 18, allowing 15,000 pilgrims to perform rituals and 40,000 worshippers to perform compulsory regular prayers at 75 percent capacity in the Grand Mosque.

Under the fourth step, at a 100 percent capacity, Umrah and prayers will be permitted for people, as well as residents within and outside the Kingdom in the Two Holy Mosques.
