Armed men killed at least 34 people in a brutal attack, on Saturday night, on a bus in west Ethiopia, according to reports.

The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission announced the number of victims, killed in the attack.

"The estimated number of casualties, currently at 34, is likely to rise, from the attack which occurred Saturday night in the Benishangul-Gumuz region,” the commission said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Ethiopian army continued its military campaigns against the Tigray Liberation Forces in northern Ethiopia, while thousands of Ethiopians fled their homes after the conflict intensified in the region. It began nearly 10 days ago.

Approximately 4,000 Ethiopians arrived at the Sudanese border within 24 hours from the Ethiopian Brecht region; they entered the Qudaymah area, fearing the tensions in the area in Tigray Region, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
