Three Egyptian Squash stars: Ali Farag, Mazen Hesham, and Karim Abdel Gawad, qualified for the Houston Men’s Open 2024 semi-finals.
In the quarter-finals, Hesham knocked the title holder, Egypt's Mostafa Asal, out of the tournament after defeating him 3-2.
Abdel Gawad also advanced to the semi-finals after defeating another Egyptian star, Ali Abo El Enien, 3-2.
The same went with the world's No.1 seed Farag as he reached the semi-finals after beating Egypt's Tarek Mo'men 3-1.
Last week, PSA announced the international ranking for February 2024.
For men, the ranking included five Egyptian players.
Ali Farag headed the ranking for the 39th successive week, and the 195th in his history.
Mostafa Asal came fourth, and Karim Abdel Gawad jumped to No.5 seed.
Mazen Hesham came seventh, and Tarek Mo'men came eighth.
