Travel and Leisure Magazine chose Hotel Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan as one of the top hotel brands in the world, ranking it in the 8th place with a score of 93.60.
The New York-based magazine also selected Cairo's Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino among the best 10 hotels in North Africa and the Middle East.

Four Seasons Cairo was placed in the fifth place with a score of 93.82, while Cairo Marriott came in tenth place with a score of 86.75.
The magazine's selection is based on several standards topped by the service quality and satisfaction of the hotels' guests.
In this regard, Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat congratulated the Egyptian hotels on such incredible success, a matter which reflects the ability of Egyptian hotels globally compete with other hotels worldwide.

"This success will be increasingly witnessed in the coming period in light of the Tourism Ministry's plan for modernizing the standards of the Egyptian hotels' classification to cope up with the international trends," Mashat said.
The minister underscored that the ministry pays great attention to train the labor working in the tourism sector to ensure offering the best services as a part of Egypt's Tourism Reform Program (E-TRP).
