On Wednesday, Egyptian security forces announced that it had arrested two men suspected of burgling Liverpool star Mohamed Salah's villa in New Cairo and the stolen items retrieved, according to a statement by the interior ministry.
Salah's business manager reported the incident to the police on Sunday, stating he noticed an open window and a mess in one of the rooms while stopping by.
According to the ministry's statement, the stolen items included sports shoes, a silver medal, a piece of crystal, and a number of receivers.
On Wednesday, security forces arrested the perpetrators after an investigation revealed their identities, according to a statement.
The Public Prosecution Office conducted the investigation and legal measures have been taken.
