Cairo has received two Egyptian citizens who were kidnapped by pirates off the Nigerian coast in November, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

The two, a maritime officer and an engineer, were among the crew of a cargo ship that was hijacked in a piracy attack on November 26.

In December, the Foreign Ministry said it was coordinating with Nigerian authorities to secure the release of the two Egyptians.
