2 Channels Set to Broadcast Egyptian Super Cup Derby

Two channels are set to broadcast the Egyptian Super Cup Derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek at Borg Al Arab stadium on Friday. 

The match will be held at 19:00 (CLT) in the presence of 10,000 fans. Time sports and On Sport are set to broadcast the most awaited game among Arabs. 

The Super Cup is held between the Egyptian League and Egypt Cup winners. This edition of the Super Cup is for the 2017-18 season as the Red Devils claimed the Egyptian Premier League title, while the Whites scooped the Egypt Cup trophy.

For the 2018-19 season, Al Ahly won their fourth Egyptian Premier League title in a row and their 41st domestic trophy overall, while the Zamalek claimed their second Egypt Cup title in a row and their 27th domestic trophy overall after defeating Pyramids on Sunday at Borg Al Arab stadium (3-0).

The Red Devils won the Super Cup ten times before, while the White Knight claimed only three trophies. 

This confrontation is the sixth one between both teams in that tournament as Al Ahly won four clashes, while Zamalek pulled off only one victory over Al Ahly in the Super Cup.  

It is worth mentioning the Egyptian Football Association Referees Committee named the German referee Felix Brych to officiate the domestic Super Cup.
