Two channels are set to broadcast the first friendly game for the Egyptian national team under the leadership of the new head coach Hossam El Badry against Botswana on Monday.

The Pharaohs are set to play their first game, since South Africa's encounter in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, versus Botswana at Borg Al Arab stadium later today.

Time sports and On Sport are set to broadcast the seven-time African champions clash against the Zebras. This clash came as the Pharaohs are preparing to kick off their campaign in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya on November 11.

El Badry had named his 23-man squad for this clash on October 5, calling up four foreign-based players; Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet (Aston Villa), Mohamed El Neny (Besiktas), Ahmed Hassan Koka ( Braga), and Ahmed Hegazy( West Bromwich).

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was ruled out of the Pharaohs’ squad to get some rest as he suffered from muscle fatigue.

The former Al Ahly manager was appointed as a new coach, succeeding the former coach Javier Aguirre, who was sacked after the Pharaohs’ shocking exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation, held in Egypt.

The 23-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Awad, Mohamed El Shenawy, Mohamed Bassam

Defenders: Ragab Bakkar, Ahmed Fathy, Mahmoud Alaa, Baher El Mohamady, Ahmed Hegazy, Ayman Ashraf, Abdallah Gomaa, Mohamed Hamdy Sharaf

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Amr El Solia, Hamdi Fathi, Abdallah Said, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha,” Hussein El Shahat, Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed El Neny

Forwards: Hossam Hassan, Omar El Said, Ahmed Hassan “Koka”
