The Hurghada International Airport received on Saturday the first flight, coming from the German capital of Berlin after a hiatus of 10 months due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The first flight was carrying 125 tourists, the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry said in a statement.

In this regard, Iman Mahmoud, the head of the domestic tourism sector at the Egyptian Tourism Authority, said the German market is one of the most important tourist-exporting markets to Egypt.

This trip comes as a result of the Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin's fruitful efforts to bring the Slovakian tourists back to Egypt in coordination with the Tourism Ministry.

It is worth noting that the number of tourists who visited Egypt since the resumption of the tourism movement on July 1 here reached about one million.
