As they celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Meghan and Harry are expectedly thanking the woman who was behind their whole story.

A report by British ‘Mirror’ recalled the story of how they have first met.

Meghan's friend, who she coyly referred to in their first joint couple's interview, was the one who set her and Harry up on a blind date, thinking they'd get on well.

And despite Meghan and Harry wanting to protect her privacy, the woman's identity has been revealed.

It was their mutual pal Misha Nonoo, the fashion designer, who decided to intervene with fate and put Meghan in touch with Harry.

"We were introduced, actually, by a mutual friend - we'll protect her privacy - but it was literally through her and we met once and then twice, back to back, two dates in London July (2017), beginning of July, and then it was about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to join me in Botswana," Harry revealed in their TV interview, which was aired hours after their royal engagement was confirmed.

"And we camped out with each other under the stars and she came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic," he added.

"So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure we had the chance to get to know each other."

When asked whether it was a set-up, both Harry and Meghan laughed.

"Yes, it was definitely a set-up - it was a blind date," said now duchess of Sussex.

"It was a blind date for sure," added Harry.

Later on in the interview, Meghan said she only had one question before their first date.

"When she wanted to set us up I had one question - 'is he nice?' Because if he wasn't kind then it didn't seem like it would make sense," she said.

"So we went and met for a drink and very quickly into that we were asking what the other was doing tomorrow."
