Bibliotheca Alexandrina announced the 17th International Summer Festival on July 26, with a large number of performances taking place overviewing the charming sea of the coastal city.
The festival will include a variety of art activities like music concerts, theatre plays, films screening, poetry, and stand-up comedy, in addition to a series of workshops and lectures on various aspects of art.

Many experienced Egyptian musicians will be performing at the festival, including; Nesma Abdel-Aziz (28 July), Ali El-Haggar (2 August), Omar Khairat (5 and 6 August), Mohamed Mohsen (9 August), Medhat Saleh (17 August), Masar Egbari (10 August), and Khaled Selim (19 August).
