15 Shot Dead by Two Drunken Soldiers in Eastern Congo

15 people were killed by two drunken soldiers, over two days, in Ituri and South-Kivu, eastern Congo.

On Monday, the local Actualité website mentioned that two Congolese soldiers who were drunk killed 15 people in two accidents, one of which occurred on Sunday in Ituri, leaving 7 dead, and the other accident was today, Monday, leaving 8 dead.

The website said that today, a soldier opened fire on a boat that was preparing to set out on Lake Tanganyika, killing 8 people and 7 others were injured.

The website indicated that among the victim were children and women, noting that the reasons for the soldier to use his firearm are unknown.

Yesterday, Sunday, a drunken soldier opened fire, killing 7 people, including soldiers and civilians, in the town of Bambu-Min in Ituri.
