Military and security sources said that 11 soldiers and 4 civilians were killed Sunday in attacks in Mali and Burkina Faso.

Mali's army said in a statement that suicide bombers broke into three army camps in the center of the country with car bombs before dawn, killing 6 people and 15 others were injured in Sevare Camp, and 5 others were injured in the other two camps.

Two security sources told "Reuters" that armed attacked a military unit in Gaskinde, in neighboring northern Burkina Faso, in the early hours of the morning, killing 5 soldiers and 4 civilians.

In the past two years, two military councils seized power in Mali and Burkina Faso and pledged to provide security that the two democratically elected former presidents failed to provide, however; violent attacks continue.
