On Tuesday, a passenger ship with 77 people on board sank in waters off the coast of North Maluku province in eastern Indonesia.

Youssef Latif, the spokesman for the National Search and Rescue Office Youssef Latif told Xinhua on Tuesday that as a result of the ship accident, 13 people are missing,

It is worth noting that, last February, a fire broke out in a cruise ship flying the Italian flag across the Ionian Mediterranean, with 237 passengers and 51 crew members on board.

Greek port police announced the dispatch of three tugboats and three patrol boats to help passengers off the Euroferry Olympia bound for Italy from the Greek city of Igoumenitsa.

While no injuries were reported, the cause of the fire was not known, according to the Greek Coast Guard.
