13 Injured in Mass Shooting in Austin, Texas

At least 13 injured in a mass shooting occurred in southeast Austin, Texas, US, Austin police department announced on Saturday.

Two of the injured people were transported to the hospital in a critical condition. The action of the shooting took place at 1:30 am in an area filled with bars and restaurants.

Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon said in a press conference: “Our officers responded very quickly,” adding, “They were able to immediately begin life-saving measures for many of these patients, including applications of tourniquets; applications of chest seals.”

The crowded area affected the transportation of the injured as various soldiers had to transport the injured to the ambulances by themselves.

No other details regarding the incident were announced, in addition, the police department expressed that there is suspect arrested.
