At least 13 people were killed and dozens were injured in a massive gas explosion in China, CNN reported on Sunday.

The blast happened in a major district in Shiyan city, in Hubei province at 6:30 am, according to local media reports.

Also, there were 37 persons were seriously injured among 130 rescued by the authorities from the scene of the accident, according to the state-owned broadcast CCTV.
