100-Year Old Menu Discovered in UK

A 100-year old menu was discovered in a cafe in Liverpool, UK by several persons, RT reported on Sunday.

The cafe owners found the precious document during conducting a number of reforms to the building.

Dated back to 1913, the menu shed the light on the most popular food in the city amid the first World War.

Although it aged more than 100 years old, it contained some modern recipes that are popular nowadays such as Irish Stew, Haricot Ox Tail, Steak with Tartare Sauce, Mixed Grill, Sweetbreads and Peas, Spaggitte, French Salad, and Tomato Soup.

Regarding the beverages, it carried very recent drinks such as Russian tea, folk Indian tea, and Chinese tea.

The cafe's owner told CNN that the mentioned recipes in the document is surprising as it indicated that the English mastered serving recent recipes 100 years ago.

She also highlighted that the most popular recipes at that time asserted that the city was very known with seafood recipes.
