Zamalek defeated the Arab Contractors (El-Mokwlon) with two goals to one on Saturday at El-Salam Stadium as part of the standings of the fifth phase in the Egyptian Premier League.

The White Giants momentarily regained the league leaders with 10 points, having played one additional match than leaders El-Ahly who currently hold 9 points.

Zamalek started the match with swift attacking gameplay pressuring El-Mokwlon into their midfield, having no other options but to defend.

The Contractors snatched the opening goal in the 12th minute after a drastic miscommunication between the keeper and the defenders giving Mohamed Salama an easy ball which found it's way into Zamalek's goal.

Shortly after, Ferjanni Sassy scored the equalizing goal after heading a corner from Zizo giving his team a very well deserved equalising goal. Ahmed El-Sayed Zizo then gave his team the leading goal after striking a ball from outside the box.

From then on Zamalek held the lead, finishing the first half with a 70% possession, in addition to dominating the second half wasting a lot of chances in front of goal.
