NEW YORK, Aug 14 (SEE) - Ten Egyptian companies specialized in handicraft industries are taking part in the ongoing New York Now exhibition running from August 12 to 15, The Export Development Authority said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Egypt's participation in the event comes within the framework of the the Trade and Industry Ministry's strategy to participate in international exhibitions to open new markets and boost Egyptian exports," the authority said.
This is the first time for this number of companies to take part in the Egyptian pavilion in NY Now which is a wholesale trade show.
"Egypt's exports of handicraft industries raised 18% in the first half of 2018 to stand at $110 million against $94 million in the same period last year," the statement read.
