Zohr field Condensate Production Hits 4K TPD

The Zohar Gas field condensates' production rose to 4,000 tons per day compared to 3.5 thousand tons last year, at an average production rate of gas at 2.1 billion cubic feet on a daily basis.

According to data, the field production of sulfur doubled to reach 50 tons of sulfur associated with daily gas production compared to 25 tons last year.

Meanwhile, Revenues from sulfur are utilized to serve social Solidarity programmes in Port Said Governorate.

Italian energy company Eni began the implementation of the seventh processing unit of the field with a capacity of 400 million cubic feet of gas per day to increase the daily production rates by about 2.7 million cubic feet next July.

Project's Progress

Moreover, Eni completed linking up 10 wells with a reserve in the deep waters of the Mediterranean sea with a maximum capacity of 2.3 billion ft3 per day.

The completion of the second phase of the field will take place next July, bringing the total production to about 2.7 billion ft3 of gas on a daily basis.

Eni aims to invest more than $ 4 billion in the development of the second phase this year, bringing the total investment in the Zohr field to $ 16 billion.

Zohr filed is the largest in the Mediterranean and is located in the Egyptian sector of the Sea. It is one of Eni’s record-breaking projects, supporting Egypt’s independence from liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports.
