Young designers, creators race to connect life with art

In order to support young creative people in designing  innovative product that reflect the link between art and life, the German University in Cairo is organizing   a competition   entitled "Young Designers and Creators in Egypt and the Arab World"

The judging panel is composed  of a number of experts from outside the university.

Three works will be chosen to win the  contest prizes   to be presented by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo, Dr. Ashraf Mansour.

The first place will receive a prize of L.E 50,000,  the second place L.E 30,000 and the third place L.E 20,000.

The outstanding works will be presented on the sidelines of the University's annual design and arts festival In Cairo next October, and an international committee will nominate some of these works to be displayed at

the German University in Berlin.

One of the competition's  conditions is that the design must be innovative, immovable, and be capable of being manufactured.

The age of the designer age should rang between 18 to 35 years .

The competition starts from 8 August to 7 September..
