Yehya Khalil to Hold Oriental Jazz Concert at Opera

CAIRO, Dec.12 (SEE)- Legendary Jazz musician ''Yehya Khalil'' with his ensemble will perform concert on Thursday evening, at Cairo Opera House's small hall, in Zamalek.

The concert will be held from 08:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Khalil is scheduled to perform another concert the following day at Alexandria Opera House "Sayed Darwish Theatre", in Alexandria.

Khalil, who lived in Chicago in the 1960s and 70s, after joining the American Music Conservatory for two years, played with a lot of know music legends, including Jimi Hendrix, Ginger Baker, Jeff Bush and Eric Clapton before returning to Egypt and transforming the music scene.

He pioneered the jazz movement in Egypt, and has been creating game changing music for the past four decades and continues to redefine ''jazz'' blending world trends with local music.
