What Is Found in Bosnia Is a Mountain or a Pyramid? Hawass Answers from Serbia

Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass gave two lectures about the most important archaeological discoveries in Egypt, at the National Theatre in Egypt.

This step came under the umbrella of Hawass's continuous efforts to develop tourism in Egypt, and spread awareness about ancient Egyptian civilization.

After the lectures finished, Egyptian Ambassador to Serbia Omar El-Gewily organized a prestigious celebration, to honor Hawass's visit to Serbia. The event was attended by the head of the opera, the parliament's vice-president, archaeologists, director of the national theatre, and other Serbian public figures.

Hawass also celebrated a conference where he spoke about Egyptian antiquities, the recent archaeological discoveries in Egypt, and the recovery of Egyptian antiquities. When he was asked about the Bosnian pyramids, Hawass answered that these are a natural mountain not pyramids.

He mentioned that currently, along with a specialized team, they are searching Cleopatra's cemetery in Alexandria. He added that he participated with the famous Japanese actress Sakai Miki in a film about the discovery of Cleopatra's cemetery. The film was screened lately on the Japanese Television.

Speaking about Cheops' pyramid, Hawass confirmed that it was a national project and it was not built through slavery.

"We have several evidences that the pyramid was constructed by Egyptians. Amongst these proofs is Wadi Al Garf's papyrus that shows accurate details about how the pyramid was constructed. The workers' cemeteries encountered nearby the pyramid are also clear evidence."

"Tutankhamen was not killed; he had some health issues and was infected with malaria," adding that Hatshepsut died because of cancer."

"I had the pleasure to accompany Princess Diana, former USA's President Barak Obama, Will Smith, and Shakira to the Egyptian pyramids' area."

About his famous hat, Hawass said "It was with me during great discoveries. Now it is being sold in favor of Children's Cancer Hospital 57357 in Egypt."

At the evening, a dinner party was celebrated to honor Zahi Hawass. Foreign Ambassadors to Serbia; Egyptian Ambassador and his wife; cultural, political, and media-figures attended.
