WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 (SEE)- The American technology database The Verge released reports on Wednesday revealing the danger of using a range of applications on Android phones.
The Verge said that users downloaded these applications over 2 billion times. "Users have neglected the identity of their manufacturers and its impact on the security of their data," The Verge added.
According to the report, these applications are Clean Master, Cm File Manager, Cm Launcher 3D, Security Master, Battery Doctor, Cm Locker, Cheetah Keyboard, as well as Keka Keyboard.
The apps track and record all users actions, data and transactions.
The report added that the manufacturers of these applications are Chinese firms.
Google started an extensive investigation into the incident and announced the elimination of these applications if charges were proven.
