Egyptian boxer Andre Valavanis, nicknamed King Cheetah will face off against Georgian boxer Lasha Gurguliani at Heliopolis’ Greek Club on Friday 24th. If Valavanis wins, he would become the first Egyptian in history to hold a professional boxing world title.
The event marks the biggest boxing event in Egypt's history as several major titles will be on the line, in addition to the participation of many international well-known fighters in the prestigious event.
Valavanis who holds a professional record of 13 wins and only one loss, with that loss avenged against Tanzanian champion Salehe Mkalekwa will face off against Gurguiliani who holds a professional record of 10 wins and 6 losses for the renowned WBF world title belt, in which if the Egyptian is able to secure, it will be his first major step to worldwide fame.

Hamza Omar who moves up a weight class will also face Ahmed Aly at the event. He stated ahead of the match "I'm a 3-time national amateur boxing champion and 5 time Giza champion, he currently holds a professional record of 4 wins and no losses with 3 knockouts. This match will be really big for me because I've been preparing for 2 months, including a 3-week training camp in Sharm El-Sheikh training every day in the mountains because of the high altitude. I promise you a great performance and lots of entertainment, he added.
