Two Female Students win “Chinese Language Bridge” Competition

Two female students at Cairo University Faculty of Arts Chinese department won the first place at “Chinese Language Bridge” competition for Egyptian university students.

4th year student Bassant Sayed Khalil won the top position; she will be Egypt’s representative at the competition that will be held in China on July this year. 4th year student Salma Gamal Gharib came next; she will also attend the competition in China.

Under the leadership of Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Al-Khosht, Confucius institute organized 18th session of this competition. Cairo University’s vice president of student and education affairs Heba Noah, scientific adviser of the Chinese embassy Xiaojun Zheng and many professors at the institute attended the competition.

The competition covered all Chinese language departments in Egyptian Universities. It is considered as the most important competition among universities as it reflects what the student had learned and earned from linguistic and cultural skills.

About 12 students participated in the competition from different Egyptian universities like Ain Shams University, Suez Canal University, Banha University, Helwan University and many other universities.
