CAIRO, Sept 15 (SEE)- Today marks the birthday of the late British author Agatha Christie.
Christie visited Egypt and stayed at Suite at Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan in the late 40's.
Inspired by the view of the Nile and the Egyptian civilization, she wrote one of her most popular and successful novels - Death on the Nile.
Christie wrote throughout her life more than 66 detective novels, 30 short stories, 15 plays, and 6 romances.
She passed away peacefully on January 12, 1976.
