Slimness is a huge problem facing some people during Ramadan. Here are some tips to gain much weight or at least preserve your own one.

Dr. Mohamed Salah, a nutritionist, told (SEE) that skinny people should eat from 4 to 5 small meals between Iftar and Sohour.

Every meal should contain high amount of calories from healthy fats like nuts, one source of protein and 2 sources of carbohydrates.

The best kinds of nuts are almond, hazelnut, peanut and for carbohydrates, a person could eat boiled potato and brown bread.

The nutritionist warned the public from eating harmful carbohydrates like white bread.

Salah advised people with little weight to delay Sohour meal to the latest possible time, then sleep for minimum of 8 hours.

"Waking up early during Ramadan besides exerting much effort wouldn't help in preserving the body's weight," he added.

During the period from Iftar till Sohour, people with low weight should take 3 cups of yogurt and drink 8 cups of water.

Moreover, fresh juices and dairy products mixed with banana, nuts twice a day will help a lot in checking weight.

For best results,  a mixture of full-cream milk, dates, nuts and dried fruits should be drunk twice a day.
