CAIRO, Jan. 20 (SEE)- On Saturday, U.S. President Donald Trump attempted to reach a compromise to re-open the government, yet his bid went into vain. Democrats already rejected his proposal, branding it as ‘non-starter.’

“The common sense compromise,” as Mr. Trump described it, states that once Democrats grant him $5.7 billion for the border wall, he will guarantee security for juvenile generations that sat foot in America illegally as children namely the renowned ‘Dreamers’ and ‘TPS’ holders.

The thing is unless the government operates, Democrats- who are currently the House majority- will not sit on the table.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who outweighs Trump politically, turned down his proposal before even voicing it as she foresaw that its is going to be “a compilation of previously rejected initiatives.”

Later, Mrs. Pelosi announced, through Mr. Trump’s favorite social media platform Twitter, that next week Democrats will vote for a border security plan that embraces all measures except a wall, after listening to the president’s speech.

“Democrats will vote next week to add additional border security funding for ports of entry, advanced technology for scanning vehicles for drugs & immigration judges,” wrote Pelosi.

Then, it was Mr. Trump’s prime time. The President wrote four tweets lashing out at Mrs. Pelosi urging her to “be careful” as she has, according to him, behaved “irrationally” becoming a “radical democrat,” concluding that he’ll soon get back to her. He obviously disliked her attitude!

The Trump-Pelosi clash has actually been making headlines for a while as the President hampered her commercial flight trip to check U.S. Troops in Afghanistan. Speaker Pelosi said that Mr. Trump’s- who is her President- remarks on the mission  triggered safety concerns.

Although Mr. Trump believed that his offer would “break the logjam” and “solve the crisis,” yet on the other side of the river Senate Chuck Schumer pointed out that it is not only “more hostage taking” but also sets forward “one-sided and infective remedies.”

As the government shutdown approaches its fifth week, thousands of employees are either furloughed or working without pay- whilst leaders are firing back at one another!
