CAIRO, Feb. 18 (SEE)- Many ghosts fairytales in the Japanese

culture were taken of real events as Japan is the home of many popular myths

and tales of demons. These legends with adding some myths are considered as

warning people not to run into unnecessary risks.

Here are the most terrible myths in Japan:

1-Amazake Baaba

After the Second World War, there was an old lady called Amazake Baaba

knocked a door at the midnight asking for the Japanese drink Sake. If she got the

drink that's good, if not the whole family would be cursed forever.

2-Teke Teke:

This myth is about a woman that had fallen into the train track and died

and the train had cut half of her body. It said that she used her elbows to

move, cut the foot of anyone she met or cut them into two halves.

According to the myth, she did this to avenge herself as no one saved

her. She was called by Teke Teke because she made this sound while she crawled.

3-Kuchisake-Onna

This myth had been circulated in the 70s in Nagasaki town. A woman

Kuchisake was killed and her mouth was cut from ear to ear by her husband. Her

spirit returned to take revenge from the children.

She put a muzzle on her face to hide it, when she saw a child, she would

ask him if she is pretty; if he answered no, she would kill him, if yes she

would crack his mouth.

The child could only run away if the answer was vague or her question

was repeated on her.

4-Aka Manto

Manto was a spirit living in the bathrooms, when anyone entered the

bathroom a strange sound asked him if he wanted the red or the blue toilet

paper. If the person chose the red one he would be killed and the blood would

cover his body, if he chooses the blue one he would be suffocated and his body

will turn into blue.

5-Funayurei

A woman was raped by group of sailors then she was killed by throwing

her into the sea. She came back to take revenge of the local fishermen. The

citizens think that she is behind the incidents of mysterious drowning and

pirates killing incidents.

6-Hanako-san

A young girl that her spirit lived in the third cap in girls' bath at

the elementary school. She wore red clothes, her face was pale and had

glamorous and harsh eyes.

She was a student who had committed suicide because of bullying. Before

any girl entered the third cap in the girls' bath she had to ask Hanako first,

if she answered "yes" the girl must escape before she would be killed

by Hanako.

7-Mu-onna

Mu-Onna was an old lady who died of grief over the death of her son, she

cried very hard until her eyes was bleeding so that she came back to kidnap

children to attempts herself.

8-Nure-onna

She was an amphibians ghost with a woman's head and snake body with long

hair, fangs, and snake eyes. She simply loved to sit on the shore combing her

long hair, if anyone bothered her, she would suck his blood to death.

9-Hikiko

She was a shy girl but she was being bullied at school from her

classmates and at house from her parents. It was thought that she was shy and

introverted because of deformities on her body. The poor girl died of the

severity of the beatings, so that she returned and her heart full of anger to

avenge the students in the world.

10-Joro-Gumo

It was a huge spider that sometimes turned into a beautiful woman who

tempted men. When they fall to her, she trapped them in her net and poisoned

them then ate them.

In other stories, she asked any guy to marry her as she wanted to have

children. If the guy married here, he would find thousands of spiders' egg.
