Supreme Council of Universities Reduces Minimum Level of International Students

CAIRO, Feb. 17 (SEE)- The supreme council of universities accepted the decision of reducing the minimum of the international students in the Egyptian universities to correspond with the educational system in the other countries.

The higher education and scientific research minister Khaled Abd El- Ghaffar demanded the Egyptian universities to prepare for the best university competition to attract international students.

This competition had been agreed during the international students first forum which organized by Mansoura University, according to the standards required for the competition like providing electronic communication channels.

Abd El- Ghaffar invited the universities to participate in the universities marketing exhibitions which will be organized by Nigeria and Oman.

The supreme council decided to form committee of universities' presidents to study the qualifying year system for the international students who got educated from systems different from the Egyptian system.

The council accepted to receive the international students at the Egyptian universities with the credit hours system in the spring semester this year.

The council decided to continue accepting British certificates at Egyptian universities with the same rules which are in coordination office in 2018\ 2019. The council coordinating with the education ministry will review the terms of acceptance for all the foreign certificates in the Egyptian higher education institutions.
