CAIRO, Sept 12 (SEE)- Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi witnessed on Wednesday the inauguration ceremony of the Davis Cup for Tennis, along with Ambassador of Finland in Cairo Laura Kansikas-Debraise.
The tournament will be held on September 14-15 between the Egyptian and Finish teams in Al-Jazira Sports Club, in the meetings of the European-African Group II.
Ismail El Shafei, President of the Egyptian Tennis Federation, Amr Gazarin, Chairman of Al-Jazira Club, and players of both teams were among the attendees.
The Egyptian team consists of Mohammed Safwat, Karim Maamoun, Youssef Hossam, Sherif Sabri, and Akram Al-Salali. The Finish team includes Hieri Heliofara, Emile Rosovori, Patrick Niklas Salmenin, and Otto Vertan.
The tournament will include five groups of singles and doubles matches. The champion will have to win three consecutive matches.
