Sports Activities, Poetry Evenings, Films, Artistic Shows in OIC Festival

CAIRO,Feb.10 (SEE)- In the framework of the activities of the First Cultural and Artistic Festival of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hosted by Egypt, a sports marathon will be held on Friday 8 February in participation with the participating countries and a group of volunteers starting from Al- Ahly Club in Al- Gazeera

Furthermore, at 4 pm the final match of the OIC will be held , followed by delivering the awards to the winners in " the civil center for civil , Education". This will be followed by organizing poetry evening at the Supreme Council of Culture led by Dr. Mohamed Badawi with the participation of poets Ahmed Suweilem and Hassan Amer as well as a poet of Mauritania.

Furthermore, at 6 pm artistic performances will be displayed in "- Sour Al- Kahera Al – Shamaly- the North Cairo Theater " for the troupes from: the Comoros, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Djibouti, Yemen and Bangladesh, reflecting their heritage, customs and traditions.

It is worthy of note that the Saudi music and folkloric Ensemble "Al-Arda" will present performances at " Koubet Al- Ghoury" ,while the Egyptian folklore ensembles will present shows in Al- Sihimi House and Prince Taz Palace.

The first artistic festival of the OIC organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Ministries of Youth and Sports, antiquities , Foreign Affairs and Tourism and will present its activities until 9 February.
