CAIRO, Oct. 26 (SEE) – President for Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, accompanied by Saudi Ambassador in Cairo Osama Al Nugali, visited on Friday the Western Valley in Luxor.
In the presence of Antiquities Minister Khaled Anani and Zahi Hawass, the prominent archaeologist, Nugali expressed his happiness for visiting the Pharaonic city, which is distinguished by the beautiful features of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The Saudi ambassador said that he is keen on visiting the ancient Egyptian temples and tombs to discover how the old Egyptians built such a fascinating civilization, thanking Hawass for his invitation.
He hailed the strength of ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Hawass, for his part, voiced his pleasure for the Saudi officials’ visit, saying that they toured Karnak Temple, Nefertiti and Tutankhamun tombs.
