CAIRO, Sept. 30 (SEE)- Radish, "Daikon" or "Mooli", as it is known in some places, is a rarely reviewed plant. SEE lists some of the Benefits as well as major side effects of over-consuming as what Dr. Hesham Al-Amry, the nutritionist, told us.

Health Benefits of Radish:

•Aids in alleviating menstrual pain in women

•Effective in treating headaches, gingivitis and tooth aches

•Helps with arthritis and rheumatoid pain

•Powerful in the treatment of tonsillitis

•Treats ear infections

•It is a strong diuretic

•It is a natural aperitif

•Calmative for those suffering from mental illnesses and Hysteria

Over-consuming Side-effects:

•An increase in the dosage can cause; vomiting, liver damage, pain, sleep disorder, dizziness, delirium and fainting.

•Pregnant women, feeding mothers and children below 12 should not use it.

•Physicians advice people to avoid consuming it for more than two weeks.
