The Egyptian Interior Ministry issued a presidential decree on Wednesday pardoning 712 prisoners and ordered their release before the feast (Eid al-Fitr) .
Member of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament, Mahmoud Mohieddin said in a statement, President Sisi fully appreciates his responsibility towards the homeland, and preserves human rights in a dignified life, stressing that the presidential pardon of some prisoners is one of the most important development and stability decisions issued by the president in the recent period.
Mohieddin added, the President is keen to build a Society on the basis of strengh and the protection of human rights.
The Committee examined the files of the prisons and determined the beneficiaries of their release.
