Opera celebrates Cairo's Orchestra 60th anniversary

CAIRO, SEPT 6 (SEE)- As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the orchestra and in cooperation with the American Embassy in Cairo, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will present on Saturday its first concert in the new opera season on the Grand Theater.

In honor of the legendary American composer Leonard Bernstein, the concert will be led by Maestro Ahmed El-Saedi, American soprano Jennifer Zain, Egyptian tenor Amr Medhat and Coral David Hills.

The concert program includes Candide's overture, Dream With Me from Peter Pan, Good Morning from A Quiet Place, Make Our Garden Grow, and I feel Pretty, Maria, Symphonic Dances from Westside Story.
