Nissan Releases New Gen of Sentra Sedan

2019 Auto Shanghai continues following yesterday’s debuts of several Volkswagen SUV models and the all-electric Aston Martin Rapide. Visually lower, wider and longer than the current Sentra sedan, this new model looks considerably less gawky and incorporates some interesting visual elements from Nissan's other sedans such as; Altima.

The exterior is formed the design concepts of vigor and confidence a low but muscular side profile and pronounced fascia give the new Sylphy a distinctive look and a drag coefficient of just 0.26.

There's a compelling looking dashboard layout with a tablet-style center screen and three circular air vents in addition upscale touches such as; diamond quilting for the seats and a large screen in the gauge cluster are nice.

Features of Sentra Sedan

Sentra's base powertrain is the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four from the Rogue Sport, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). It produces 141 horsepower, a slight but useful improvement over the current Sentra's 130 horsepower from a buzzy, unrefined 1.8-liter four, and can be had with a six-speed manual transmission.

All Sentra versions will now come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. That alone goes a long way to bringing the model up to date compared to others on the Nissan roster. Nissan firm reported that will more about the new U.S.-market Sentra later this year.
