Javier Joury, the assistant coach of the Egyptian team, confirmed that the delay of international duo Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El Nini from the Pharaohs camp does not concern the technical staff, adding that the focus at the moment will be on local players.
Salah will be leading Liverpool in the Champions League final against Tottenham on June 1, with Nenni going to the Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29.
Joury stated, “The most important thing for us is the players of the league, if they feel confident and motivated we can achieve positive results, our goal is to give them self-confidence, tactical awareness and winning mentality.”
The team’s preparation camp will kick off on June 3 in preparation for the African Nations Cup, which begins on the 21st of the same month. The Pharaohs will play friendly matches against Tanzania and Guinea on 13 and 16 at the Burj Al Arab stadium.
