Minya Governor: New Archaeological Finding Reflects Security in Region

CAIRO, Feb 3 (SEE)- Major General Kassem Hussein, the governor of Minya, said that celebrating the new archaeological finding in Tuna El-Gebel is a clear message for the security and safety prevailing under El-Sisi's rule.

He added that, this major discovery is added to the achievements realized by Minya University in cooperation with the Ministry of Antiquities.

“We strive to put Menya on the global tourism map and provide a wonderful atmosphere for visitors”, said Menya governor.

Hussein pointed out to the historical pyramids, temples, mosques and monasteries built everywhere in Upper Egypt.

He referred also to new museums constructed to preserve ancient Egyptian heritage.

In the same context, he added that “Tell al-Amarna” was Egypt’s governorate in the reign of king Akhenaten and is currently considered a significant region, besides Bani Hassan, Tuna El- Gebel, and Mallawi Museum in the city of Bahnasa.
