Milk, Water, Iron-Rich Food..Main Keys to Avoid Coffee’s Side Effects

CAIRO, Feb. 11 (SEE)- Dr. Yasmine Al Sairfi, a nutritionist advised the public to drink coffee sparingly, besides drinking 2 cups of milk, iron-rich food and large amount of water in the same day of drinking coffee to reduce its side effects.

Al Sairfi added that only 2 cups of coffee daily are enough to increase concentration, reduce headache pain and make people happy, awake and active.

In the same context, the doctor clarified that moderate amount of coffee is effective in increasing body's metabolism which helps in calories’ burning for those who are on diet.

From cosmetic perspective, Al sairfi said coffee contains antioxidants which help in delaying wrinkles and it enhances mood to a very high extent.

“For those who suffer from low blood pressure or water retention, coffee is considered the best treatment for them as it helps in dieresis besides increasing blood pressure”, she added.

Regarding green coffee, Al Sairfi clarified that it’s the best of all types as it contains hydrochloric acid that purifies epidermis out of toxins and controls blood pressure as well as sugar and cholesterol levels.

On the other hand, Al Sairfi stated that drinking much amount of coffee leads to osteoporosis, anemia, lack of calcium and insomnia.

“Furthermore, this leads to drought which drives the outer skin to be pale and unhealthy besides a general weakness in hair and nails”, stressed by the nutritionist.

Finally Al Sairfi pointed out that drinking more than 2 cups of coffee daily might worsen black halos around eyes and cause irregular heartbeat.

For elderly people, pregnant or breastfeeding women and patients suffering from high blood pressure, the doctor advised them to drink de-caffeinated types of coffee.
