Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle reportedly asked her mum to convince her ex husband to scrap a TV program about their failed marriage.

According to a recent report by British “Sun”, Doria Ragland was asked to speak to Meghan’s ex partner Trevor Engleson over his plans to launch a TV comedy.

It was reported last year that the TV producer Trevor was working on a "porce comedy" centred around the royal family - perhaps drawing inspiration from his own experiences.

Fox was said to be developing a pilot for the story, which centres around the following theme: "Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder.

Meghan entrusted her mum Doria with the task, according to reports.

The show would have followed the fictional ex-husband of a British princess who was struggling to see his child, the Sun states.

But following the intervention of Meghan's mum, it looks like the show won't be going ahead after all.

Meghan and Trevor became a couple in 2004 and married in 2011.Only two years later their marriage ended in a no-fault porce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

While she was staring in legal drama 'Suits' he was a producer on shows including 'License to Wed' and 'All About Steve'.

He is currently working as an executive producer on Netflix film '13 Minutes'.

The news about the apparently scrapped show emerged as Meghan is expected to give birth to her first child some time this month.
