MBC Group Launches MBC Iraq

AL-ULA, Feb.16 (SEE) - MBC Iraq is scheduled to be launched tomorrow by the Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC). The new TV channel is going to be a reflection for the Iraqi daily life and its culture.

The following programs will be prodcasted: The Third River (a cultural talk show presented by Aalaa Hussien), Jokes’ Broadcasting (a comedy program presented by Basem Al-Baghdady, Magued Yassin, Yasser Samy, and Sabah El-Helaly), Coma Di  (a social comedy program), and The Way to Iraq (a tourism broadcast hosted by Mohamed Al-Naser.

Regarding sports, Mohamed Al-Hani

will present the Iraqi version of the famous program The Field’s Echo, and

Mohamed Haiba will host Welcome Madrid, a broadcast about the Spanish football

team Real Madrid.

Anisa Al-Aazawy, Mrowy Kamil,

Salma MAhmoud, Arig Basel, and Salwa Daey will host A Girl’s Gathering (a talk

show about women). Also, MBC Iraq will broadcast the Beauty House (a show about

Iraqi woman).

To celebrate this special occasion, yesterday dozens of Iraqis artists, including Saadon Gaber and Hatem Al-Iraqi, gathered in the Saudi city of Al-Ula.

Famous and beloved Iraqui stars Ilham Al-Madfai and Kazem El-Saher showed a spectacular performance at yesterday’s concert.

Parallel to the MBC Iraq’s launching, Al-Ula is celebrating the Winter of Tantora’s Festival.
