CAIRO, Feb. 13 (SEE) - On the fringe of her visit to Luxor, Tourism Minister Rania Al Mashat met on Tuesday with a group of tourists during an inspection tour at Luxor Temple.

The tourists, who came from various nationalities including Germany, the UK, and China, were interested in taking photos with Mashat. They expressed their passion for visiting the tourist city and admiration for the ancient Egyptian civilization.

Also, the minister held a meeting with investors and owners of hotels and tourism facilities in the governorate in the presence of Luxor Governor Mostafa Alham and parliamentarians, discussing the status of the tourism sector there after the success of the tourist season.

She said that the Tourism Ministry pays great attention to cultural tourism, a matter which distinguishes Egypt from other countries, pointing out that the ministry is working hard to promote cultural tourism in international fairs.

During the meeting, Mashat pointed to the ministry's new campaign "Branding by Destination."

Moreover, she listened to the demands and complaints of owners of the hotels and tourism facilities, topped by promoting Luxor in international fairs, lack in the trained cadres, and increasing charter flights to Luxor in addition to developing the tourist marina.

The minister pledged to solve all these problems as soon as possible, citing opening Sphinx airport which will help in increasing the charter flights and the ministry's structural reform program which includes training all the ministry's staff nationwide.

By the end of her visit, Mashat expressed on her official Twitter account her happiness for touring the governorate
